Polar Panoramas

Above are my two finished Polar Panoramas. Creating these were similar to creating our Spherical Panoramas. Our first step was to take 10-15 photos in a 360 rotation with a 10-15% overlap. We next edited the photos in Adobe Bridge Camera Raw. Then we took the photos into Photoshop, using the Photo merge plugin we created the actual panorama. This is where it gets tricky, we then resized the panorama into a square and rotated the image 180 degrees. Our last step was to use Polar coordinates making the circular shape.

On the right you will see my Polar Panorama with a photo of me in it. In order to create this illusion we teamed up with people in our class and took photos of each other from high above. Next, we took these photos into Adobe Bridge Camera Raw and edited them. After that we took them into Photoshop and used the quick selection to cut out our body's. We then took our cut out images dragging them into our Polar Panorama and resizing them to fit into the Polar Panorama. To make even more realistic we copied our cut out image, we decreased it's exposure to pure black and adjusted the opacity to at least 40%.
