Hiki No Behind the Scenes

At the moment we are working on a video project for Hiki No. We had the choice to do either a news story or a profile story. My team and I decided to do a news story. Our news story title is "The Effects of Technology on the Adolescent mind and Lifestyle", it is basically about what it says it is. We decided that we would create a video with the opinions ,of adults and children, on the use of technology. If it has good effects and bad effects.
So far the project has been going pretty well. For a news story we are to have a minimum of three interviews, which we have gotten and are now working to see if we can get a fourth. If we don't get a fourth it will be okay. So far we have interviewed Mr. Sanderl, a fellow G.T. student, and one of my partners mother. We are working on getting our transcriptions done at the moment and then we will finish planning and shooting our B-Roll.

When we are not filming we are planning and working together to make sure that the written parts get done. As I said before we are working on getting our transcriptions done at the moment. The transcription is the dialogue we have written that matches the audio in our actual interview video. We also write out our plans for B-Roll and voice overs. We have to plan this so we know what we are going to say and film instead of just winging it and coming up with ideas spur of the moment. When we plan we have an idea of what we want to do and what needs to be done. It helps us stay organized and understand each other when we explain things.
As a team we all have to pitch in and do our share of the work. We sometimes switch around our jobs so everyone can do something. I have been helping with the planning and setting up for the days we planned to film. Most of the time Brandi works the camera for interviews, while Hannah or Aedan ask the questions. When we shoot B-Roll everyone gets a turn to shoot different sequences. We all help plan and share ideas on what we could to either fix a problem or to make our project better. So far we have all been sharing jobs and helping each other. Being a person on this team I can continue to help, share and accept other ideas, and make sure this project turns out fantastic.
